As a part of our human rights and advocacy initiatives, our Positive Behavior Supports Advisory Committee meets regularly to discuss ethics, feelings, safety, and more .
The committee uses games, role playing and other techniques to reinforce concepts, so everyone can enjoy learning and sharing.

Programs from Sunshine Village hosted an open house art reception at the Chicopee Public Library.
Members of the community and family members enjoyed the showcase of creativity made by individuals with distinct abilities.
The exhibit is open for public viewing in the Community Room in July and August.
An epic after hours field day was held to celebrate the successes of individuals in our Employment Services Program.
What a great night for corn hole, badminton, ladder ball, kickball, soccer, giant bowling, ring toss, water balloon toss – and more!

Today, we proudly handed Certificates of Achievement to 12 of our direct care staff for completing our year-long Leadership Program.
As a part of our commitment to professional development, we invest in our employees’ success with this unique program we created especially for them
in partnership with Springfield Technical Community College and Holyoke Community College through their Workforce Development grant.
