Sunshine Village delivers on our promise of a GREAT day – by helping people to live and learn, work and earn and give and grow! We are presently serving over 400 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders with a variety of innovative day supports and employ over 200 employees. Programmatic sites – providing day habilitation, employment and community-based day services – are located at the agency’s main campus in Chicopee, as well as in Agawam and Three Rivers.

We have invested millions of dollars in our workforce – bringing our entry level wage for DSPs to $21.00! We continue to provide annual raises and multiple bonuses throughout the year – for all positions!

DSPs work a 35-hour workweek (M-F from 8:30 to 3:30) and we do not require night or weekend shifts or overtime hours – and we say thank you with gifts of SWAG and SHINE TIME (paid time off.)

All employees receive generous paid time off (in FY2026, we are offering 12 paid holidays and yes – we have PAID snow days!) We pay 70% of health and dental insurance and match up to 4% in the 401K after one year. We also are investing more money than ever in professional AND personal development – and our employees feel they receive enough training to do their job well (91%.)
