Lt. Governor Polito Visited to Celebrate Autism Awareness Month
Lieutenant Governor, Karyn Polito, visited us to celebrate April as Autism Awareness Month!
Our Board Chair, Ernest Laflamme Jr., and Executive Director, Gina Kos, presented her with a painting with the message, “Different, Not Less” made by our artists with unique abilities.
During her visit to celebrate April as Autism Awareness Month, our Litwin Center Program enjoyed showing Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito their culinary skills with homemade brownies and cherry tarts.
Next, they rocked out with drumsticks for a FitChics Unleashed PoundPro session!

Sunshine Village Eagles Baseball Team Signups Event – April 5th!
Sunshine Village sponsors the Sunshine Village Eagles Baseball Team
and new players are invited to join the team!
Do you have a child or know someone with special needs that would enjoy playing baseball in a fun, inclusive, supportive environment?
The team is made up of children with a variety of abilities and “buddies” who serve as helpers, models, and peers, so the games and
practices are always enjoyable for everyone involved!
We have a new coach this year, Kyle Hines of LifePoint Church in Chicopee! We need more volunteers as well! If you would like to volunteer to be a buddy and/or are interested in helping the team in some way,
please join us for the signups event. Anyone 18 years and older
involved with the team will need to complete a CORI form.
For any questions, please email: SEChallengerbaseball@yahoo.com
The Eagles home field is located at Sunshine Village, 75 Litwin Lane, Chicopee. Games and practices may be in other locations
throughout Western MA and Northern CT.

A Great Time for All at Night to Shine!
Thank you to LifePoint Church in Chicopee for partnering with the Tim Tebow Foundation to put on another exceptional Night to Shine prom event! This year, delighted every guest and was a great time for all!
Cultural Councils’ Grants Make our Music Therapy Program Possible
During music therapy, our programs enjoy music from all over the world while using instruments, singing, dancing, and connecting with their creativity.
At the end of each session, everyone sings and signs a “goodbye song”.
This program is made possible by grants from the Mass Cultural Council through Chicopee Cultural Council, Palmer Cultural Council, and Springfield Cultural Council.
Thank you for your investment in helping us to deliver on the promise of great days!
