Last month, Agawam Day Hab client Daniel took a brave step outside of his comfort zone. Although change can be challenging for him, he made the choice to head outside and enjoy a game of Connect Four with his friend and fellow client, Mike.

Today, clients in our Agawam Day Habilitation Program shared their creative “Ocean in a Bottle” sensory activity with us. They created calming sensory bottles ...inspired by the peaceful movement of the ocean - designed to promote relaxation, self-regulation, and mindfulness.

Lunch and Learn sessions allow our CBDS clients to explore new opportunities in the community - and last week, we welcomed Samantha from Storrowton Village Museum to our Litwin Lane campus.
Clients learned about year-round volunteer experiences, highlighting New England's agricultural... producers and life in the 1840s. Samantha shared how volunteers help teach early American skills like sewing, serve as ambassadors for the museum, and help bring history to life for visitors.

Earlier this week Agawam CBDS clients visited the West Springfield Public Library to research zoo animals - learning what makes each one unique.
Then they headed to the @lupazoo to see some of those animals in action - observing behaviors and experiencing them first hand.

At our Three Rivers/Palmer program last month, clients enjoyed a fun game of shuffleboard - getting up, moving, and working on hand-eye coordination, focus, and teamwork.
